The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll Tina Turner died Wednesday on the age of 83.
“It’s with nice disappointment that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. Together with her music and her boundless ardour for all times, she enchanted tens of millions of followers all over the world and impressed the celebrities of tomorrow,” the assertion learn.
“At this time we are saying goodbye to an expensive buddy who leaves us all her biggest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her household. Tina, we are going to miss you dearly,” the assertion continued.
Rolling Stone reported {that a} spokesperson for the late singer stated Turner died “peacefully” at her dwelling exterior of Zurich, Switzerland, after battling “an extended sickness.”
Turner first rose to prominence within the ‘60s and ‘70s alongside her then-husband Ike Turner. Because the duo Ike & Tina Turner, they launched quite a few hit songs like “A Idiot In Love,” “River Deep – Mountain Excessive,” and “Proud Mary.”
Tina later went on to have a profitable comeback as a solo artist within the ‘80s, together with the Grammy-winning file “What’s Love Received to Do with It.”
