Crews trying to find the Titan submersible heard a “banging” sound early Tuesday.
A Canadian search plane with underwater detection capabilities picked up “banging” sounds coming from the depths across the HMS Titanic wreckage about each half-hour, per a US authorities memo obtained by CNN.
Rolling Stone, who first reported it, mentioned an electronic mail to the Division of Homeland Safety from the analysis group Explorers Society learn:
“It’s being reported that at 2 a.m. native time on web site that sonar detected potential ‘tapping sounds’ on the location, implying crew could also be alive and signaling.”
Knocking was heard 4 hours later when “extra sonar was deployed.”
