Turnstile have tapped BADBADNOTGOOD, the Canadian jazz-fusion group, for an EP collaboration. The three-track EP referred to as New Coronary heart Designs reworks three tracks from Turnstile’s 2021 album GLOW ON — “Thriller,” “Alien Love Name” (ft. Blood Orange), and “Underwater Boi.” (It is in an analogous spirit to their 2020 EP with Mall Seize, which featured clubby remixes of three Time & Area songs.)
New Coronary heart Designs opens with a chilled-out “Thriller,” which feels just like the alternate intro of the track that Turnstile have been enjoying on tour, after which goes right into a percussive, psychedelic tackle “Alien Love Name,” and an upbeat, jazzy rework of “Underwater Boi.”
