Based in in 2004 by singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Zion Rock Godchaux, BoomBox has grown and developed alongside loyal followers throughout the globe. They’ve developed a signature groove rooted in a back-beat pushed model, wrapped round clean vocals, compelling lyrics, and a mix of drum machine and live-mixed laptop beats laid down by Kinsman MacKay, Godchaux’s brother. Their songs pull from a variety of genres – from hip hop to funk and a wholesome dose of digital that has formed their sound and created an area for these guys on quite a few festivals.
