Archaeology ‘n artwork: Throughout 2016, a number of eye-catching artworks – together with Final Drinks on the Hibernian – which featured a number of the objects uncovered within the 2008 dig, had been put in on the Belconnen Arts Centre as a part of the College of Canberra School of Arts and Design workers exhibition, Encyclopaedia of Forgotten Issues. The artworks had been the creation of Tracy Eire, a professor of cultural heritage, and Dr Ursula Frederick, a fellow archaeological and heritage practitioner from the Division of Heritage and Conservation Research. “Our analysis centre specialises in bringing artistic follow to a variety of different disciplines, together with science,” explains Tracy. “Combining creative or artistic follow with archaeology is an rising space.”
