A person has been shot and 4 have been injured in two separate incidents after an evening of “chaos” in Melbourne’s CBD.
The primary incident unfolded inside a tram when a person allegedly tried to rob somebody earlier than exiting onto Princess Bridge at 5.30 pm.
Victoria Police allege the person then assaulted 4 folks with a glass bottle, together with a 67-year-old man, a 56-year-old lady, a 24-year-old lady and a 46-year-old lady.
They had been all taken to hospital with non-life-threatening accidents.
Witness Nick Alonso advised 9news.com.au he was on the tram going previous the artwork precinct when he noticed a giant group of individuals.
“One of many girls there had a giant gash on her face and he or she was bleeding,” Alonso stated.
He stated he continued on the tram to Flinders Avenue Station the place he noticed police arrive and arrest a person.
“They handcuffed him and he was put onto the ground. It was chaos.”
The 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with 4 counts of recklessly inflicting harm.
A second incident broke out on the identical time when a second man started threatening protecting providers officers at Princess Bridge.
Victoria Police say the person was armed with damaged glass when he confronted the PSOs.

The PSOs had been responding to the opposite incident when the confrontation came about.
