It has been a very long time coming, however the first trailer for <em>Borderlands</em> has lastly arrived after the <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/gamer-culture/2024/02/20/check-out-the-first-images-from-the-live-action-borderlands-movie">first pictures</a> of the film emerged this week. First introduced in 2015, the live-action movie brings Gearbox’s fashionable co-op loot shooter to life with some big-name stars, larger explosions, and (hopefully) even larger laughs.
Directed by Eli Roth, the movie stars Cate Blanchett (Lilith), Kevin Hart (Roland), Jack Black (Claptrap), Edgar Ramírez (Atlas), Ariana Greenblatt (Tiny Tina), Florian Munteanu (Krieg), Gina Gershon (Moxxi), and Jamie Lee Curtis (Tannis). Just like the video games, the movie follows our group of Vault Hunters as they seek for a precious relic on the desert planet of Pandora. Additionally they come across a lacking lady with a strong secret that would endanger the universe.
Borderlands hits theaters on August 9.
