ComingSoon is solely debuting a Reagan clip from the upcoming biopic starring Dennis Quaid as the previous United States president.
The unique Reagan clip sees Quaid’s Ronald Reagan discussing his Strategic Protection Initiative, a proposed marketing campaign designed to guard the US from ballistic missiles that some dubbed “Star Wars.”

What’s the Dennis Quaid-starring Reagan about?

Reagan is directed by Sean McNamara, who beforehand made 1998’s 3 Ninjas: Excessive Midday at Mega Mountain, 2003’s The Even Stevens Film, 2006’s The Chopping Edge: Going for the Gold, 2007’s Bratz, 2011’s The Suite Life Film, 2011’s Soul Surfer, 2013’s Child Geniuses and the Thriller of the Crown Jewels, 2018’s Aliens Ate My Homework, 2022’s The King’s Daughter, and 2023’s On a Wing and a Prayer.
Together with Quaid, the film stars Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan, Mena Suvari as Reagan’s first spouse Jane Wyman, Lesley-Anne Down as Margaret Thatcher, David Henrie as teenage Reagan, Kevin Dillon as Jack Warner and Jon Voight as KGB agent Viktor Petrovich.
Having been filmed in Oklahoma and California, Reagan releases in United States theaters on August 30, 2024, from ShowBiz Direct.
