Bizarre: The Al Yankovic Story, the upcoming biopic about legendary music parodist “Bizarre Al” Yankovic, will premiere completely on the Roku Channel on Nov. 4, the streaming platform revealed as we speak together with an official film poster.
The movie, which stars former Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe as Yankovic, was introduced firstly of 2022. A trailer, soundtracked by the basic Madonna parody “Like a Surgeon” and that includes Radcliffe shredding on Yankovic’s signature accordion, was launched in Could.
Yankovic co-wrote Bizarre: The Al Yankovic Story with director and producer Eric Appel. The movie will cowl his childhood, his mid-’80s rise to fame and his numerous showbiz (mis)adventures. The movie may even star Evan Rachel Wooden as Madonna, Rainn Wilson as radio broadcaster Dr. Demento, Quinta Brunson as Oprah Winfrey and Julianne Nicholson and Toby Huss as the singer’s mother and father.
“When my final film UHF got here out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my followers that I might launch a serious movement image each 33 years, like clockwork. I am very completely satisfied to say we’re on schedule,” Yankovic stated in an announcement. “And I’m completely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe can be portraying me within the movie. I’ve little doubt in any way that that is the function future generations will bear in mind him for.”
Yankovic is the bestselling comedy recording act of all time, with six of his albums going platinum or multiplatinum. He is received 5 Grammy Awards over his almost 40-year profession, scored two High 20 hits on the Billboard Sizzling 100 (1984’s “Eat It” and 2006’s “White & Nerdy”) and notched a No. 1 album together with his most up-to-date LP, 2014’s Necessary Enjoyable.
