Pete Townshend is feeling extra like a substitute musician within the Who nowadays.
“It’s a gaggle of musicians that Roger [Daltrey] has chosen,” the guitarist advised Mojo in Might [via rockcelebrities.net]. “I’ve not chosen any of the musicians I tour with – not even [drummer] Zak [Starkey]. When Roger brings me onstage I’m filling the footwear of a man referred to as Frank Simes, who Roger excursions with solo, and who’s a guitar participant and musical director.”
However, he clarified, that does not imply he is unwilling to take part.

“I’m glad to do it,” he continued. “Somebody studying this can say, ‘Cease fucking complaining, Townshend, and put a band collectively of individuals you do need to use.’ However that scares the shit out of me.”
