Prince William’s cousin gets engaged with stunning sapphire ring in New York proposal

Congratulations are to ensure that Phoebe Knatchbull, the great-granddaughter of the first Earl Mountbatten of Burma, who has introduced her engagement to British banker Leopold Glover.

The bride-to-be – a distant relation to Prince William and Prince Harry – shared her pleasure with Richard Eden, and confirmed she can be a swimsuit from elder sister Daisy’s model Knatchbull, previously generally known as The Deck. 

“Each bride wearing Knatchbull seems unbelievable,” she added. 

In a photograph circulating on social media, the 29-year-old proudly displayed a surprising sapphire engagement ring. 

Phoebe, who attended Wycombe Abbey boarding faculty earlier than incomes a level from Bristol College, is now carving out a profitable profession as a worldwide account improvement director at Freuds+ in New York.

The marriage will little question be a giant household affair, and should appeal to an entire of associates with shut connections to the royal household. Phoebe’s father is the Hon. Mountbatten household’s shut ties to the royal household

Phoebe and Freddy’s father, Philip, is the son of Patricia Knatchbull and John Knatchbull, seventh Baron Brabourne. Lord and Woman Mountbatten had two daughters: Patricia, 2nd Countess Mountbatten of Burma, and Woman Pamela Hicks. 

Patricia, the eldest daughter, shared a very shut bond with the British royal household. Each she and her youthful sister, Woman Pamela Hicks, usually performed with the longer term Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret throughout their childhood.

When Patricia married Lord Brabourne in 1947, it was a royal affair. Princess Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, Woman Pamela, and Princess Alexandra of Kent all served as her bridesmaids.

Patricia and Lord Brabourne loved a protracted and comfortable marriage, elevating eight youngsters collectively earlier than his passing in 2005. 

Mountbatten household tragedy

Woman Mountbatten’s life was devastated in August 1979 when the IRA blew up the household’s boat in Co Sligo.

Her father, Earl Mountbatten, mother-in-law, the Dowager Woman Brabourne and her 14-year-old son Nicholas Knatchbull have been all killed immediately, as was 15-year-old boat boy Paul Maxwell. Nicholas’ twin brother, Tim, survived with extreme accidents. 

Woman Mountbatten was pulled from the water, and wanted 120 stitches to her face, which she later known as “my IRA facelift”.
