Will wider adoption of LTC lead to the same congestion issues as BTC?

Everyone knows very effectively that some great benefits of LTC over BTC are non-existent fee and a a lot quicker blockchain. That is the state of affairs proper now, but when LTC is adopted extra extensively for p2p funds, for the explanations talked about above, gained't it undergo the identical degree of congestion as BTC and consequently elevated charges? From what I've seen in BTC "solely" 3K transactions per block are wanted to saturate the chain.
