Following Google’s acquisition of cybersecurity teams Siemplify and Mandiant, the US tech large has sought to carry all of its cloud capabilities below one roof with the launch of Chronicle Safety Operations.
Google’s Cloud Subsequent division unveiled the cloud-born software program suite on October 11, 2022, which it mentioned can “higher allow cybersecurity groups to detect, examine, and reply to threats with the pace, scale, and intelligence of Google.”
Google bought Israeli safety startup Siemplify in early 2022 for $500m and closed its $5.4bn acquisition of Mandiant in September.
Shifting ahead, all safety operations software program will come below the Chronicle model, Google mentioned.
Chronicle Safety Operations “unifies Chronicle’s safety info and occasion administration (SIEM) tech, with the safety orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) options from our Siemplify acquisition and menace intelligence from Google Cloud.”
The Mandiant acquisition will add extra incident and publicity administration and menace intelligence capabilities sooner or later, in keeping with Google.
