Apple has reinstated the apps made by the Russian expertise group VK on the App Retailer after the corporate supplied proof that it’s not “majority owned or managed by a sanctioned entity” (through The Guardian). The corporate eliminated the VK-owned social community VKontakte, e-mail app Mail.ru, and others final month in response to sanctions the UK placed on the monetary establishments that personal the Russian agency.
“The apps from this developer had been faraway from the App Retailer, as required by regulation, after a number of requests had been made to the developer to offer documentation to confirm that they weren’t in violation of UK sanctions,” Apple spokesperson Peter Ajemian stated in an emailed assertion to The Verge. “Subsequent to the elimination, the developer has supplied the requisite info verifying that they don’t seem to be majority owned or managed by a sanctioned entity. Thus, the apps have been reinstated to the App Retailer.”
