Author Kurt Johnstad has been tapped to put in writing the screenplay for the upcoming movie adaptation of the comedian e book Prophet, based on The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie is ready to star Jake Gyllenhaal and might be directed by Sam Hargrave, the director of the hit motion movie Extraction. Johnstad’s work within the motion style is notable, with Johnstad having written the screenplays for each 300 movies, in addition to 2017’s Atomic Blonde and the 2012 movie Act of Valor.
Initially showing in a 1992 situation of the comedian Youngblood, the character Prophet — named John Prophet — is a poor and homeless man dwelling within the period of World Warfare II. It’s there that he volunteers to participate in medical experiences by a time-traveling scientist, the outcomes of which flip him into an excellent soldier.

Based on The Hollywood Reporter’s report, Studio 8 — who’s engaged on the difference — might be specializing in the unique story for the character, with Prophet being buried in a bombing and waking 20 years later in 1965 to a brand new world. The movie will reportedly deal with Prophet making an attempt to avoid KGB brokers who need to create a brand new line of super-soldiers from his blood.
