A Marvel game available exclusively on PlayStation 5 is currently 60% off at the PlayStation Store. This news arrives just days after the release of Marvel’s Wolverine, also from the same developer. However, the offer is part of a limited-time deal that ends in October.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 can be purchased on the PS Store for $27.99, and this deal is active until October 8, 2026. Once this deal ends, the PS5-exclusive game will be sold at its original price of $69.99.
The game is also available in a deluxe version for $79.99. The Deluxe Edition includes a copy of the Marvel game, five unique suits each for Peter Parker and Miles Morales, five skill points, early-unlock suits and gadgets, and additional photo mode items.
Developed by Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was released on October 20, 2023. The game was critically acclaimed upon its release. It currently has a 4.72-star rating out of 5, based on 261,465 ratings on the PlayStation Store.
Wolverine’s Release Has Put Insomniac’s Marvel Games Back in Focus
The release of Marvel’s Wolverine has brought renewed attention to previous Marvel titles on the PS5. Wolverine officially launched on September 15, 2026, and introduces the X-Men to Insomniac’s interconnected Marvel Universe. However, previously, the developers released Spider-Man games on PlayStation platforms.
Insomniac Games released three Spider-Man titles that were well-received by gamers. On September 7, 2018, Marvel’s Spider-Man was launched for the PS4 and holds an 87 on Metacritic. Two years later, on November 12, 2020, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released for the PlayStation 5. It earned a score of 85 on the rating platform.
The final web-slinger installment, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, received the highest rating of all the games the developer has released so far. On Metacritic, the Marvel game earned a score of 90 from 152 critic reviews. With the game now available at a discounted price, players can purchase it and experience the epic gameplay.
