It’s late at night and there’s a knock at the door. The man says he needs you to let him in but… why are his eyes hollow and his teeth sharp? Well, he was at least honest about wanting to get in. This is what you have to deal with in House 13, a Roblox horror game that challenges you to outlast an anomaly event and deal with things that aren’t human, but want to convince you that they are. We put together this House 13 walkthrough to help you survive the horrors with the knowledge needed… seeing as you probably shouldn’t trust the Office Of Civil Continuity.
House 13 Walkthrough
In House 13, you are an ordinary person going about their evening in their… fairly large-sized house, when they see a worrying TV broadcast. There has been some kind of outbreak of dangerous entities that mimic human beings. These creatures, called Impostors, are trying to get inside your home by any means necessary, and you really don’t want them to get in. So, you need to mount your defences and help other survivors… but make sure everyone who comes to your for help is actually a person, or your house might be your tomb.
How To Identify Imposters

One of the key parts of House 13 is answering visitors at your door. Some of them are just frightened civilians looking for a place to shelter for the night. Others are… well exactly what the frightened civilians are sheltering from. There are a few key things you need to check to make sure that you’re letting a human in.
- Check their appearance. Things like melting features are a pretty big tell that the visitor might not have your best interests in mind.
- Check their movement. If they move strangely or have an unnatural posture, that’s also a bad sign.
- Questions. When you open the door, you have the option to ask the visitor two questions, what they’re looking for, and why they picked your house. Humans will give sensible answers that make sense for someone looking for a safe place, they’ll talk about wanting shelter, that they came to your house because nowhere else was open, stuff that makes sense. Impostors will say concerning things. Things like ‘I’ve already been inside your house before.’ Stuff that implies they want to get in for the wrong reasons.

Now, let’s walk you through the nights themselves. The number of nights you’ll need to clear depends on the difficulty you choose. Easy is six nights, medium is twelve nights, hard is eighteen nights, and Endless Mode…. never ends.
Pre Night One
There’s a quick segment where Night One has not officially started and you won’t get visitors. To get Night One started, you’ll need to:
- Watch the briefing on the TV.
- Go to the door and see the ad for the Signal Jammer.
- Head upstairs to the PC and order the Signal Jammer.
- Go out to the back and pick up the box with the device.
- Take it to the marked spot in the front hallway and install it.
Night One
Night One follows basic anomaly rules as detailed above. Let normal people in, turn Imposters away. Also, make sure you check the Signal Jammer. This makes it harder for Impostors to find you. This sits to the left of the front door, and you will need to recalibrate it from time to time. You don’t want to let it go down to zero. The easiest way to handle it is to check it between visits. Be careful though, you’ll have more calls on your time as the nights go on.
Night Two
Night two introduces the problem of windows. Every so often you will hear a window start opening. This is one of the Impostors trying to get inside. You’ll need to find the correct window and hold to interact with it to close it again.
Night Three
This night introduces a darkness mechanic. Standing in darkness for any period of time is a bad idea. If the lights go out, you’ll need to head out of the back door (where you picked up the Signal Jammer box earlier) and into the shed. Inside there is a fuse box you may need to interact with to get the lights back on. Until a light comes back, avoid darkened rooms where possible and find alternate routes.
Night Four
With Night 4 you’ll get another thing you need to check on, closets. Some closets throughout the house will slowly open, and something nasty will try to climb out. Interact with it to shut the door in their face and get on with other business… you’ll have a lot of different things to keep you occupied by now.
Night Five And Beyond
That covers all the additional rules for now. Briefings worryingly stop after the last broadcast, and in spite of what it might say, you do need to honor all of the previous rules until the outbreak is over. Let people in, turn away Impostors, close windows and close doors when they start opening. If all else fails, grab the shotgun on the wall. Good luck.
Tips
Finally, we’d like to share a few tips that helped us along in our own playthroughs.
- Ignore the upstairs.
- We did practically nothing upstairs during our first easy run and completed the whole thing without needing to check anything up there. Keep an eye out, but it appears things didn’t spawn there much, if at all on the build we played.
- Sounds are key.
- Listen out for sounds like opening windows. Given you can’t watch everything at once, waiting for the audio cues can help to tell you when something is trying to sneak in.
- Prioritize windows and closets.
- You can leave people at the door for a bit but the window and closet monsters won’t stop. Shut them up first.
- You can’t shoot Impostors through the door.
- Sadly. We tried it and it didn’t work. We’re devastated.
