Hey all,
I’ve been finding out the Scalability Trilemma currently and have a query on it. Of the three factors (Scalability, Safety, Decentralization), scalability is the one one that’s adversely affected by extra nodes, attributable to the truth that a duplicate of the chain should be distributed amongst all validators.
So, theoretically, the extra nodes you add, the extra safety and decentralization you add.
So, how is it then doable which you could, say, have a community that’s decentralized and scalable, but not safe?
If the nodes exist to make it extremely decentralized, does that not imply that it’s inherently safe?
If anybody might assist clear this up, that may be immensely useful.
Thanks
