The Nationwide Transportation Security Board (NTSB) stated it started conducting an investigation into the mid-air collision of two historic conflict planes which occurred throughout an airshow in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, November 12. The collision occurred on the Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow on the Dallas Government Airport Terminal, killing 5 crew members of 1 airplane and the pilot of the opposite. At an NTSB media briefing on November 13, board member Michael Graham stated an investigation has been launched, and a preliminary report of the accident is predicted in 4 to 6 weeks. “Neither plane was geared up with a flight knowledge recorder or a cockpit voice recorder, typically often called the black field,” Graham stated. Given the shortage of flight knowledge information, Graham stated that movies of the incident from witnesses will likely be “very crucial.” Footage launched by the NTSB exhibits particles from the airplane crash and scorch marks on the bottom.
