Oscar-nominated director Luca Guadagnino (Name Me By Your Title) has signed on to adapt William S. Burroughs’ novel Queer for the large display, with Daniel Craig within the lead position. Justin Kuritzkes is writing the variation.
“Queer follows Lee, who recounts his life in Mexico Metropolis amongst American expatriate school college students and bar homeowners surviving on part-time jobs and GI Invoice advantages. Lee is self-conscious, insecure and pushed to pursue a younger man named Allerton, who relies on Adelbert Lewis Marker (1930-1998), a not too long ago discharged American Navy serviceman from Jacksonville, FL, who befriended Burroughs in Mexico Metropolis.”
The novel is a sequel to Burroughs’ Junkie and facilities on the Bare Lunch writer off of heroin. Queer was revealed in 1985, although it was written between 1951 and 1953.
Guadagnino, who additionally directed Suspiria and the not too long ago launched Bones and All, can also be in early improvement on an Audrey Hepburn biopic with Rooney Mara connected. Craig not too long ago returned to the Knives Out franchise within the sequel Glass Onion.
