The AFL has introduced the 2022 grand remaining will begin at 2:30pm on Saturday, September 24.
There had been some discuss that the sport would transfer to a twilight match, after the 2020 and 2021 matches performed in Brisbane and Perth had been held later than the standard slot.
“Previous to the beginning of this season, we emphasised that after two actually difficult years, all of us yearned to return to the footy rituals and routines that set the rhythms of our lives, to proceed to give attention to getting again to soccer and going to soccer as we all know it,” AFL chief govt officer Gillon McLachlan mentioned.
“That return-to-rituals precept underpinned our resolution making in ratifying a conventional begin time — the status, nostalgia and environment of the day grand remaining is one thing everyone knows and love.”
