Heavy snow shut down highways in California’s Placer County on Tuesday, February 28, as a storm dumped as a lot as 24 inches of snow in components of the state, the Nationwide Climate Service (NWS) reported. Video from the Placer County Sheriff’s Workplace exhibits deputies on snowmobiles within the Applegate space on Tuesday. Based on the division, Interstate 80 was shut down in each instructions with no alternate routes. The NWS warned that blizzard circumstances within the Sierra Nevada would trigger “excessive journey impacts,” reporting a number of ft of snow within the forecast for areas above 2,000-3,000 ft, with snowfall charges probably larger than 3 inches an hour.
