Richmond Tiger Noah Balta has been charged with assault by NSW Police following an alleged altercation on Monday, the membership has stated.
In keeping with NSW Police, Balta was allegedly concerned in an incident that came about at a sports activities membership within the NSW city of Mulwala, on the border with Victoria.
The alleged incident led to a 27-year-old man being taken to Yarrawonga Hospital in a secure situation for “a laceration to his head”, NSW Police stated.
“The Richmond Soccer Membership can affirm that AFL participant Noah Balta has been charged with assault after an incident on the thirtieth December, 2024,” Richmond stated in a press release.
“Because the matter is now earlier than the courts the membership could make no additional remark.
“The membership has made the AFL conscious of the incident.”
NSW Police stated they have been referred to as to a sports activities membership at Mulwala at round 12:30am after stories of an assault.
Police stated a 25-year-old man, Balta, was arrested at Mulwala Police Station on Tuesday.
“He was charged with assault occasioning precise bodily hurt and given conditional bail to seem earlier than Corowa Native Courtroom on Thursday 30 January 2025,” police stated.
