This handover was facilitated by the top of the Prison Police Workplace – Archaeological and Inventive Property Department in Bavaria.
Final 12 months, this vital archaeological piece, generally known as the “Head found on the Ashmun web site” (1966) was present in Munich, Germany.
Lebanon’s Minister of Tradition, Decide Mohammad Wissam Mortada, performed an important function in recovering this artifact.

The archaeological head of Ashmun, included within the Basic Directorate of Antiquities’ stock, was initially documented by scientist Donnan throughout excavations on the Bustan al-Sheikh web site close to Sidon.
It was initially saved in Sidon and later moved to Jbeil, from the place it was stolen in 1981.
