Two individuals have been killed after a house went up in flames as an arson investigation begins.
Fireplace crews have been referred to as to a Donvale house, about 20km east of Melbourne, about 3.46am on Saturday after stories of a home on hearth.
Firefighters arrived to discover a multi-level, brick and steel-constructed house absolutely engulfed in flames.
“Crews aggressively attacked the fireplace,” a Fireplace Rescue Victoria spokesperson stated.
“The house has been destroyed by hearth and the roof has collapsed.”
The hearth was deemed below management simply after 4.30am.
“Sadly, two our bodies have been discovered contained in the property as soon as the fireplace was extinguished,” a Victoria Police spokeswoman stated.
Arson and explosives squad detectives and an arson chemist would attend the home on Saturday morning after against the law scene was established.
