Amazon’s cloud department, Amazon Net Providers (AWS), is launching a £5m ($6.2m) grant to assist strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities of instructional establishments throughout the UK.
In response to a January 24 announcement, the AWS UK Cyber Schooling Grant Program goals to boost safety capabilities in UK instructional establishments, advance ransomware safety, upskill the IT workforce in key cybersecurity areas and supply quick incident response help when crucial.
As a part of this initiative, AWS will supply:
- Credit for brand new and present prospects to implement cloud-based cybersecurity options
- Over 600 free programs, together with greater than 40 security-focused coaching programs obtainable within the AWS Talent Builder

Most UK Schooling Establishments Hit by Breaches in 2023-2024
The federal government analysis confirmed that 52% of main and 71% of secondary faculties reported cyber breaches or assaults from 2023 to April 2024.
