Yesterday, inside the euphoria of rehousing my books (right here), one e book fell via the cracks – just because it was revealed whereas we (that will be my digtial advisor Patrick Chemali – no relation – and myself) had been proper in the course of the technical jumble.
Referred to as “Belvento” (which alongside McCondo, is up there with these legendary locations in literature) and clearly impressed by Georges Schehadé (or Chehade, there are lots of variations to writing the title), and a go to to the very very long time rental he lived in Beirut. Simply to be clear, if you don’t perceive Chehade it isn’t fault of yours, both you do or you do not.
So “Belvento” (the legendary village from his play “L’emigre de Brisbane”) is simply as absurd, and hopefully simply as enjoyable and indirect as the nice playwriter and poet’s work.
Initially the undertaking dates again to 2013, and simply as all the time, I’m going again to my very own archive or another person’s and reinterpret it. Please have a look at Belvento right here.
