As we strategy 20 years since Satoshi’s landmark white paper, we nonetheless know little or no about this enigmatic writer’s politics or id (though that has not stopped some from guessing). However we perceive that this individual (or individuals) created an innovation – a know-how spinoff of one other know-how, encryption. As we’ve seen repeatedly, know-how can be utilized for good or dangerous. It may create jobs or destroy them. It may hurt the surroundings or bolster efforts to guard it. The artwork of sound policymaking is weighing the nice and dangerous, dangers and rewards, and placing insurance policies that promote the widespread good in place.
