Two bushwalkers have been winched to security following a rescue operation within the Blue Mountains.
About 6pm on Saturday, emergency companies have been notified that an emergency beacon had been noticed within the neighborhood of Clausters Canyon, Mount Tomah.
Inquiries revealed a 25-year-old man and 18-year-old girl had gone abseiling and canyoning, after they got here into bother.
Officers have been assisted by Polair and the Toll Rescue helicopter to establish the placement of the hikers.
Round 10pm specialist officers from Police Rescue and NSW Ambulance began climbing in direction of the placement of the hikers.
Nevertheless, as a consequence of tough circumstances and poor visibility, the operation was suspended.
This morning, a Toll Rescue helicopter winched the bushwalkers to security round 9.45am on Sunday.
The hikers have been winched to security by the Toll Rescue helicopter about 9.45am immediately (Sunday 7 August 2022).
They have been handled for delicate hypothermia on the scene.
