A Lebanese courtroom has dominated that Carlos Ghosn, the previous Nissan CEO, should vacate his luxurious Beirut house inside a month. The choice comes 4 years after an funding agency, Phoinos Funding, accused him of “trespassing.”
Ghosn had been residing within the property since fleeing Japan in 2019 to flee prosecution. The home, situated in Beirut’s upscale Ashrafieh neighborhood, is valued at roughly $19 million.
Ghosn appealed the ruling on Friday, arguing that he had a contractual settlement with Nissan that granted him the correct to reside within the property. Nevertheless, the courtroom said that the top of Ghosn’s relationship with Nissan invalidated his authorized foundation for occupancy.
