I’m doing my undergrad thesis is on mathematically modeling blockchain methods. Can somebody clarify what is going on on this equal relationship? So far as I understood, they outlined sigma(a) because the account state and sigma(a)_s because the storageRoot hash of the Merkle trie that has all of the account's storage information. L* is the collapse operate that hashes all the important thing worth pairs. So, I’m guessing they’re utilizing the equal relationship to attach the Merkle Trie with the trie's root hash.
