Impartial MP Allegra Spender says it’s “most disappointing” of the Greens for them to not vote with the remainder of the parliament in condemning the Hamas assaults on Israel.
The Greens, together with two Teal MPs, have backed an try to amend a bipartisan movement and erase a press release declaring Australia “stands with Israel”.
“You completely must condemn the Hamas assault as a result of it was a terrorist assault on civilians,” Ms Spender stated.
“If that occurred right here, we might anticipate the Australian authorities to defend us.
“I didn’t agree with that decision, and I used to be more than happy to see the parliament get behind the federal government’s movement.”
