The Australian’s Overseas Editor Greg Sheridan says the martial legislation declared in annexed areas of Ukraine by Russia is a really “sinister and disturbing improvement”.
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s declaration of martial legislation within the areas permits the strengthening of navy curfews, limits of motion and censorships.
“There are reviews that Russia is evacuating tens of hundreds of Ukrainians out of Kherson into Russia – now it appears very doubtless that quite a lot of these individuals being evacuated don’t wish to be evacuated to Russia,” Mr Sheridan advised Sky Information host Rita Panahi.
“These individuals are successfully going to be hostages.”
