Staff on the Animal Welfare League have scrambled to restore broken kennels after Blaze the husky was stolen.
“Blaze had been taken from his kennel… it appears as if someone or a bunch of individuals have damaged into the premises (and have) destroyed padlocks, have destroyed kennel fencing,” Caroline Esera from the Animal Welfare League mentioned.
The dognappers appeared to have gained entry to the shelter via bushland on the again, scaling a fence and breaking a number of padlocks, leaving different canine – together with Blaze’s good pal Maggie – distraught.
“The opposite canine have been actually frantic,” Esera mentioned.
“Maggie was actually, actually upset.
“We will not separate the 2 canine as a result of they’re such shut pals so she would have been actually traumatised by the occasion.”
