Trump made the feedback in regards to the Senate Minority Chief to New York Instances reporter Maggie Haberman in her upcoming guide “Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America,” an excerpt of which was printed Sunday in The Atlantic.
In keeping with Haberman, Trump thought congressional lawmakers would govern like Meade Esposito – a longtime “political fixer” in New York Metropolis politics who Trump stated “dominated with an iron fist” – or like China’s President Xi Jinping, per The Atlantic.
