A 28-year-old man has claimed he was grabbed across the throat and left with a minimize above his eye after an incident involving Sale Sharks’ England ahead Jonny Hill following Bathtub’s Premiership play-off victory.
Hill is at the moment recovering from damage, having not performed since January, and watched the sport with Sale’s teaching workforce within the Recreation Floor’s essential grandstand.
As 6ft 7in Hill left his seat after the ultimate whistle – Sale misplaced 31-23 – and walked down the steps, he turned concerned with the person.
The Bathtub supporter, who did wish to be named, instructed reporters: “I used to be sat there and he got here down the steps, grabbed me across the throat, broke my sun shades and minimize the highest of my eye.
“He was like saying to me ‘do not ever do this once more’. To be sincere, all I would like is a brand new pair of sun shades. I do not wish to make a giant factor. I used to be sat with my accomplice and all her household. This isn’t soccer.”
In a press release, Sale mentioned: “Sale Sharks are conscious of an incident involving a participant and Bathtub Rugby fan on the closing whistle of at present’s semi-final.
“The membership will work with Bathtub Rugby to finish an investigation into the incident and can present no additional remark presently.”
