A crew of former Mojang and Toca Boca builders have raised €1.5m to discovered new Stockholm-based studio Roro.
The developer’s first challenge is described as a “3D digital dollhouse” aimed toward fostering creativity and self-expression. Cell is about to be the first platform for the title, which shall be out there on each iOS and Android.
Crafting new concepts
Roro is headed up by former Toca Boca GM of New Digital Toys William Sampson as CEO, who has based the studio with ex-Toadman Interactive CEO Robin Flodin. In the meantime, former Mojang technical director Kristoffer Jelbring has taken up the identical title on the new studio.
The startup’s first funding spherical was led by node.vc, with participation from FOV Ventures, Robin Flodin, and several other angel buyers together with Craig Fletcher, Nick Button Brown, Luis Villegas, Callum Underwood, and others.
