The battle designer for Final Fantasy XVI has revealed in a live stream that the upcoming RPG from Square Enix is his “personal masterpiece.”
Ryoto Suzuki, who has worked on the likes of Devil May Cry 5, Dragon’s Dogma, and Monster Hunter in his career, revealed that the Final Fantasy XVI team “put priority on designing this game’s battle system to appeal to those who previously have not played or are not well versed in action games.”
I hope that those who have never played an action game before can go and try out Final Fantasy 16. I hope this game will give you a chance to experience the allure that an action game can bring.

Final Fantasy XVI is scheduled for release on PS5 on June 22, 2023. The game’s producer, Naoki Yoshida, recently confirmed that there will be a day one patch, and that the game will feature a ‘Final Fantasy mode‘ as part of New Game Plus.
