Sky Information Political Editor Andrew Clennell says It seems the Coalition will cave on this Nationwide Anti-Corruption Fee laws and cross it by the parliament as early as tonight.
“Regardless of this preliminary demand from the Opposition Chief Peter Dutton that it should require a vote of three-quarters of the parliament to nominate a commissioner of the watchdog,” Mr Clennell.
“The Opposition will transfer this modification within the Senate, however it’s my understanding that after the federal government votes it down, the Coalition will nonetheless assist the Invoice and the NACC will probably be up and working by July subsequent 12 months.”
