Following the London punk crew’s breakthrough album, Mixing, and 2023 demo EP, Excessive Vis are again with a working-class anthem known as “Mob DLA.”
The brand new single, which previews their new album arriving later this 12 months, places a brilliant gentle on Excessive Vis’ street-punk ethos, delivering an enormous sound whereas condemning the rising, unstable price of residing. The band even have a number of exhibits developing abroad, together with an Australian tour with Pace, and appearances at Aftershock and Louder Than Life within the fall.

“The years upon years of public service cuts have had a devastating human impact on communities within the U.Okay.,” vocalist Graham Sayle says. “Persons are pressured to justify their want for help, made to endure dehumanizing exams so as to monitor their eligibility for help for occasionally lifelong disabilities. Marginalized communities are left to fend for themselves, then vilified in focused media smear campaigns. That is all occurring within the shadow of ever-increasing bonuses and salaries for the political and industrial elite and their buddies. I’ve seen this in my circle of relatives. The stress and nervousness of individuals merely looking for area in a world that more and more feels designed towards them is palpable. And thru all of it, I’ve seen the facility of neighborhood motion within the face of sustained neglect.”
