Jim Beard, a keyboardist who performed with Steely Dan, has died on the age of 63. In response to a press release, the composer, producer and arranger died on March 2 “from problems as a consequence of a sudden sickness.”
The musician has been a touring performer with Steely Dan since 2008. Most lately, he was on tour with the band as they supported the Eagles on their Lengthy Goodbye tour. His final present with them was on Jan. 20 in Phoenix.
