Liberal candidate for Warringah Katherine Deves has defended her place on transgender youngsters, saying the language in regards to the concern is “confronting” and “very emotive”.
Ms Deves had beforehand issued a public apology and wiped her social media accounts – after posts criticising transgender youngsters.
Whereas talking with Sky Information host Chris Kenny on the primary day of pre-poll, Ms Deves appeared to double down on her feedback.
“I apologise for my language, I don’t resile from my place,” Ms Deves stated.
“It’s very confronting, and it’s very ugly, so after all individuals are going to be offended.”
