Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has had so much to say the previous few days as a lot of information has rolled out on this previous weekend’s Star Wars Celebration in London. There’s been a ton of cool information, and one of many largest initiatives that shocked followers was the announcement that actress Daisy Ridley will return to the position of Rey in a brand new movie. Kennedy advised IGN how the film connects to the Skywalker Saga.
“Properly we’re 15 years out from Rise of Skywalker, so we’re post-war, post-First Order, and the Jedi are in disarray. There’s a whole lot of dialogue round, ‘Who’re the Jedi? What are they doing? What is the state of the galaxy?’ She’s making an attempt to rebuild the Jedi Order, based mostly on the books, based mostly on what she promised Luke, in order that’s the place we’re going.”
Kennedy added about whether or not Luke can be concerned within the story:
“I do not know if we’ll spend a whole lot of time in flashbacks or Pressure ghosts or issues like that, however definitely, the spirit of what he represents to her goes to be vital.”
