Born in Beirut, Lebanon, on September 2, 1964, Reeves is of Native Hawaiian, Chinese language, English, and Portuguese descent and grew up in a number of cities all over the world.
His mother and father divorced in 1966 when his father, who met his costume designer mom whereas she was working in Beirut, deserted the household when Reeves was simply three.
Afterwards, Reeves’ mom relocated to Sydney, Australia along with her younger son, earlier than transferring to New York, USA, the place she met and married Broadway and Hollywood director Paul Aaron in 1970.
