Electricite Du Liban (EDL) reported that the Al-Zahrani energy plant shall be forcibly put out of service on Friday, August twenty sixth afternoon as a result of its depletion of fuel oil.
With Al-Zahrani out of service, the cessation of power manufacturing on all Lebanese territories will happen, noting that it is going to be again on instantly after supplying EDL with the required gasoline.
EDL justified placing the ability plant out of service, declaring that it was not provided any cargo of fuel oil allotted for the month of August 2022 in accordance with the change settlement between Iraq and Lebanon.
Based mostly on the gasoline scarcity, which is past EDL’s management and accountability, it was compelled to take this motion.
