Loren Grey unveiled her debut studio album Responsible on Friday (April 21) and to rejoice, the 21-year-old sat down with Billboard‘s Rania Aniftos to open up about her journey from social media star to pop star.
Grey launched her album as an impartial artist after leaving her take care of Virgin Data and Capitol Data. “Every thing, for me, is backwards,” she explains. “Often, you make the music, you develop the viewers and it grows from there. For me, it’s like, ‘You have got this viewers. Now what can we do?’”
She continued, “I nearly really feel like everybody was afraid to the touch my venture. Nobody actually needed to develop an artist. The best way I at all times checked out it was that my social media presence and all the things I constructed there means nothing in relation to my music, as a result of music is a totally completely different viewers and it must be handled that approach.”
