A person who allegedly plucked a reside hen from the grounds of a wildlife park and threw it to an alligator to be killed in entrance of horrified onlookers has been charged.
The 57-year-old man allegedly dedicated the stunning act on the Oakvale Wildlife Park in Salt Ash, Port Stephens, earlier this week.
“Officers had been informed {that a} man eliminated a reside hen from an enclosure and threw it into a close-by alligator enclosure, the place it was killed,” NSW Police mentioned in an announcement on Friday.
The person attended Singleton Police Station the place he was charged with committing an act of aggravated cruelty upon an animal.
He’s set to look in courtroom on February 5.
Involved animal activists have since thanked the wildlife park for pushing for fees.

“So disheartening to examine what occurred with the ‘males’ throwing one in all your beautiful hens into the alligators,” one girl wrote on the Oakvale Wildlife Park Fb web page.
“It will have been so terrible to see particularly for little youngsters, and people of us who love animals of all species.
