Martin Scorsese is partnering with Fox Nation for a brand new docudrama collection titled Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints. The eight-episode collection will probably be hosted, narrated and government produced by Scorsese.
Every episode within the collection will discover the tales of eight figures on their journey to sainthood. The collection will concentrate on Joan of Arc, Francis of Assisi, John the Baptist, Thomas Becket, Mary Magdalene, Moses the Black, Sebastian, and Maximillian Kolbe.
Scorsese stated in a press release: “I’ve lived with the tales of the saints for many of my life, occupied with their phrases and actions, imagining the worlds they inhabited, the alternatives they confronted, the examples they set. These are tales of eight very completely different women and men, every of them residing by means of vastly completely different durations of historical past and struggling to comply with the best way of affection revealed to them and to us by Jesus’ phrases within the gospels. I’m so excited that this venture is underway, and that I’m working with so many trusted and proficient collaborators.”
The collection was developed by Scorsese for Lionsgate Different Tv, and it was created by Matti Leshem. Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints is written by Kent Jones and directed by Elizabeth Chomko.
