Megadeth has unleashed their new tune “Soldier On,” the third single from their upcoming album The Sick … the Dying … and the Useless!.
The highly effective observe launches at full-force from the opening word, propelled by emphatic drums and hovering guitar riffs. Frontman Dave Mustaine invokes photographs of conflict inside the tune’s lyrics, singing on the refrain:
“Of all of the battles received and misplaced / The lives and treasures that it prices / I do know I’ve bought to soldier on / Watching mankind destroy itself / Stroll straight into the mouth of hell / I do know I’ve bought to soldier on.”

That is the third observe launched from The Sick … the Dying … and the Useless! following “We’ll Be Again” and “Evening Stalkers.” The album, which marks first LP since 2016’s Dystopia, arrives Sept. 2.

The Sick … the Dying … and the Useless! was recorded at Mustaine’s dwelling studio in Nashville. In his place, Steve DiGiorgio performed bass on the brand new album, whereas James LoMenzo will proceed to function the band’s official bass participant on tour.
