In an announcement video shared throughout Metallica’s social media networks, hardcore deaf Metallica fan Tom Osbourne helped the band reveal the unprecedented information.
“It’s my honor to announce on April twenty fifth, Metallica will launch all music movies from 72 Seasons in ASL,” Osbourne signed on-camera within the video, which you’ll view beneath. “Metallica is the primary main rock band to do that. To have fun Nationwide ASL Day, Metallica partnered up with Amber G Productions and DPAN to launch the official music video for “72 Seasons” in ASL.”

The Deaf Skilled Arts Community, or DPAN, is a non-profit group that seeks to help the deaf and hard-of-hearing group by making music extra accessible; it was based in 2006 by deaf musician Sean Forbes and producer Joel Martin. DPAN has labored with Amber G Productions on a number of tasks; the manufacturing firm was based by interpreter Amber Galloway.
